Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
This policy explains what PromptVault collects, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
Account data: your email address, an encrypted password (or the identifier returned by Google/Apple if you use social sign-in), and your marketing opt-in choice.
Usage data: the prompts you create with the AI builder and prompts you save. Custom prompts may also be stored locally in your browser.
Technical data: basic log information such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, used to keep the service secure.
How we use it
To create and secure your account, authenticate you, and deliver the prompt library and AI prompt builder.
To send transactional email such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.
To send product updates and promotions only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run PromptVault — hosting, database and authentication, email delivery, and the AI provider that processes prompt text you submit to the builder.
We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention and your rights
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time.
Deleting your account removes your profile and stored custom prompts.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to account data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage strictly to keep you signed in and to store your custom prompts. We do not use advertising trackers.
Children
PromptVault is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
